Woodberry are conscious about the environment and are focused on ensuring that, where possible, our commercial outdoor furniture is made from sustainably sourced wood or recycled plastic.
We already have several procedures in place to support the environment, but we are always looking for more ways in which we can help.
This is why we’ve made a commitment to donate $1 to One Tree Planted for every order we receive this year. Each dollar donated is equal to 1 tree planted.
As of November, this year, we’ve received over 1,815 orders, so this means we’ve already helped plant over 1,815 trees around the globe!

Who are One Tree Planted?
Trees and plants are being burned, degraded, and logged at astonishing rates, which has resulted in 46% of the world’s forests already being destroyed.
One Tree Planted are a non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation.
Their global projects help to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for wildlife.
For every dollar they receive, they plant 1 more tree.
Since 2014, they’ve planted over 92.7 million trees in more than 80 countries across the globe.

THE IMPORTANCE OF TREES ON OUR PLANET
Trees are so vital to the survival of life on earth – they cool the earth, stabilise soil, purify the air, provide food and habitats for wildlife, and the list goes on.
When a forest is destroyed through logging or burning, carbon is released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide which contributes to climate change.
This is why Woodberry feel it’s important that we support the One Tree Planted scheme to help replace some of the trees which have been taken down.
Whilst it will take hundreds of years to rebuild the forests that have been destroyed, by purchasing your commercial outdoor furniture from Woodberry you can do your bit to help plant a tree. Every order placed is another tree planted, and every tree planted is another tree closer to rebuilding the forests which have been destroyed.

Woodberry's Recycled Plastic Range
We’re serious about our impact on the environment, and this is why we’ve put a lot of time and research into sourcing a hard wearing, environmentally friendly, recycled plastic outdoor furniture range.
The Greendine® outdoor furniture range is unique to Woodberry, and is made from 100% recycled plastic coming from single use plastic bottles and plastic wraps. This range also comes with a 25 year structural guarantee.
Based on the weight of the recycled plastic Greendine® furniture we have estimated that each picnic bench is made up of approximately 4000 plastic bottles, each dining table is made from 2,000 plastic bottles, and each chair of approximately 550 plastic bottles.
That’s a lot of plastic bottles that we are all keeping from landfill and our oceans.
Because Greendine® furniture is so easy to clean and maintain, it is excellent for public places such as tourist attractions, country parks, and coastal locations. More importantly, they show your customers that you are committed to reducing landfill waste.
FSC® Certification
As one of the leading suppliers of commercial outdoor furniture, it is important that we highlight that Woodberry are one of the only outdoor furniture companies who are fully FSC certified. This means that our customers have the assurance that all our softwood furniture is fairly and ethically sourced and traded.
But what does this mean for the environment?
It means that any of our wooden products featuring the FSC symbol, have been manufactured with the least disruption to the forest of origin. It means that the local people who harvested the wood are supported and rewarded fairly, and in a safe environment.
