Self Watering Flower Planter

This stately planter has a built-in reservoir, from which water is drawn up to the compost through a capillary matting, creating the labour saving “self watering” feature. These planters will only need to be watered typically once a week, although in very hot weather an interim top-up may be needed.

The “insides” consist of the glass fibre liner has two sections. The bottom section is the reservoir, with a 14.3 litre capacity and the upper section is the area for compost and plants. This upper section is lined with capillary matting with wicks that go down into the lower sections to draw the water up.

These planters can be weighted with concrete blocks in the underneath section below the glass fibre liner, or alternatively can be fixed down.
