A luxury metal gazebo in a pub garden

A Buying Guide to Gazebos – What you should consider

Where do you want to put the gazebo?

  • All Gazebos ideally need to be installed on even flat ground
  • If not already on hard standing (patio, decking) then a concrete pad will need to be put in for each leg before the gazebo is installed
  • If you do have a slope or uneven levels where the gazebo legs will be placed then talk to our team about bespoke requirements
  • Will the gazebo be adjoining a building or a wall? If so, are there any doors or windows that might be obstructed from opening by the gazebo legs or roof lintel
  • Is there anything overhead in the space that might get in the way
  • Ensure there is clearance all round to ensure the blinds come down
  • What is the drainage of the area where you are looking to put the gazebo

Any specific planning regulations for your venue?

  • Are there any planning regulations specific to your venue which might prevent installation? Preservation orders on buildings or views
  • All the gazebos we supply are compliant with height allowances for a temporary structure so generally don’t require planning permission unless you have specific additional planning rules

Metal or Wood

  • Your preference in keeping with your surroundings/the building

Type of roof and drainage off the roof

  • Are you looking for a flat roof or an apex roof
  • Think about the drainage off of the roof, where will it go?
  • The Quadrat Gazebo and Bespoke Apex Roof Gazebos have internal drainage that comes out at the bottom of the legs
  • The Wooden Gazebos have apex roofs where the rainwater will run off the roof edge (you could fit guttering?!)

How will your customers experience it?

  • What are you going to use it for? How are customers going to access it based on where you place it?
  • Will they come from a building straight undercover or have open access from any of the sides?

With all these things considered, here is our range of Gazebos and Dining Cabins to help you decide…….
