Adapting our Business

On March 20th the majority of our customers were advised by the Government to close their doors. As long-time suppliers to the hospitality industry and being a small family-run company, this left us in rather a predicament. None of our customers were really in the position to buy outdoor furniture when their doors are shut to customers.

Like many of you, we were left quickly planning how we could adapt to stay in business. We have had to furlough some staff and adapt our workshop to ensure those still at work are following all Government Safety advice and keeping 2m apart.

NHS Temporary Hospital Doors

Given we had workshop space, tools and a skeleton workforce with adaptable skills, we offered our services to NHS suppliers.

Woodberry is now building 200 temporary hospital door units per week. These are being supplied to temporary Nightingale Hospitals and permanent hospitals who are quickly dividing up their normal wards.

Our team are all working safely and are pleased to be busy and helping where we can.

Domestic Garden Furniture

With the majority of the UK population staying safe at home and the weather continuing to get better, we have adapted our marketing and deliveries to offer our outdoor furniture range to the domestic household market.
