When it comes to creating a first class customer experience, accessories are equally as important as the furniture solutions that you offer. Accessories add that little extra detail to make your business memorable to customers and show them that you genuinely care.

We have put together a list of our favourite outdoor accessories to help you ‘hook-in’ customers and maximize your revenue this season.

Dog Bowls & Treats

Mans best friend is a firm family member, frequenting ‘dog-friendly’ hospitality venues at any given opportunity.  According to the PDSA 24% of the UK adult population have a dog.

Offering bowls of water that are accessible and always topped up will entice families to visit for longer without the worry of ‘getting back for the dog.’  Complimentary dog treats are another lovely idea to consider. ‘Doggy’ people get just as excited about rewarding their pets with special treats as they do choosing their treat or tipple from your menu.

You could even consider selling small bags of treats with all profits donated to a local animal charity. A beautiful message to send out to the community and get customers talking on social media platforms.

Cosy Blankets

A blue sky sunshine day in Autumn can easily fool your customers into thinking that the temperature is warmer than it is. So adding a selection of cosy, soft blankets for customers to wrap up in on a colder day is a perfect way to help them enjoy an outdoor leisure experience for longer.

We have some beautifully crafted Teak Outdoor Storage Boxes that make a perfect repository to store blankets to keep them dry, clean and accessible. Furthermore, we are currently offering six complimentary blankets with the purchase of 1 storage box.

Heaters

Even on a dry day, temperatures can drop significantly after sunset.  Adding a portable heater to your patio and terraces will keep your customers toasty warm and enjoying your menus for longer.  As the nights draw in heaters also offer a delightful orange glow, creating a cosy, colourful atmosphere to your outdoors.

The Pyramid Gas Patio Heater is a stunning looking heater and is wheel mounted making it a breeze to manoeuvre to your most demanding servicing point.

Cushions

Cushions are often considered a Spring and Summer accessory. However, we like the idea of adding cushions to your furniture all year round, providing you don’t leave them out to get damp and dirty.

Cushions really do add the finishing touches to your outdoor décor and can help bring your furniture to life. As comfortable as our handcrafted furniture is, it is a nice idea to add cushions for extra comfort. Ramblers with tired aching feet will love the sight of cushions to recuperate whilst still enjoying the fresh air. Do also remember that some of your customers will be elderly or have a bad back, and offering a selection of sumptuous cushions will allow them to make themselves comfortable, thus prolonging their stay and increasing their spend at your property.

We like the cushion range at The Outdoor Cushion Company. They have an extensive selection of cushions in a variety of shapes, size, and colour.

Boot Scrapers

These novel accessories are the ideal way to help your indoors stay clean and keep your pathways free from wet leaves and sticky, slippery mud. Nobody wants to be sitting around in footwear baked in mud after a lovely country walk. So why not offer a helping hand to your customers by providing boot scrapers. A comfortable customer is a happy customer who will be more inclined to tarry at your property and enjoy your service offerings for longer.

The Wessex Forge have a lovely selection of cast iron boot scrapers.
